The Blog That Ate Auto Repair Costs

Timing belt replacement Blacklick, Ohio. The timing belt  is a critical maintenance item listed in your owners manual. Timing belts are usually replaced every 60 to 90 thousand miles. If you know you're approaching this mileage make plans to come and see us for that scheduled maintenance. Mike Ward Automotive, 220 North Street, Blacklick, Ohio 43004. (614)512-8781

If the timing belt breaks you can end up with very expensive engine damage. No one wants that. It's far more cost effective to simply replace the timing belt, timing belt tensioner and idler pulley. Many water pumps are driven by the timing belt so it just makes sense to do both while changing the timing belt.

The way our service works: You buy the part(s) and we install them for you. We even help you research the correct part(s) so all you have to do is go down to the parts store and pick them up. A couple really cool things happen when you buy your own parts:

1. You get the best possible price on the part(s) Avoiding crazy part mark ups.
2. You get the parts store warranty. Which in many cases is a limited lifetime warranty. This beats what a traditional automotive repair shop will give you hands down. Most shops will only give you a 12month or 12,000 mile warranty whichever comes first. We say why do that when you can get a much better part warranty directly from the parts store!
3. Most shops will not let you supply your own parts because they want to mark the part up 100% to 200% so they can make more profit.
4. You do not have to pay crazy part mark ups! Come see us. We will gladly install your parts. It's how our service/model is designed to work.

We'll keep you truckin on down the road for much less than any other shop in Ohio.
